"Rio project members have met during their participation in many music workshops, open jams and different music projects.

Their shared passion for Brazilian music, Bossa Nova and Samba and their admiration for Brazilian composers like: Antonio Carlos Jobim and João Gilberto encouraged them to

deeply explore the unique genre.

They later decided to form a band that plays this unique genre exclusively.

Brazilian music can easily attract the audience and music enthusiasts from Middle Eastern cultural background and drive them to like it and react to it.

This is because the uniqueness of this genre as well as its similarity to the essence

of oriental music when it comes to the vivid beats and melodic phrases.

Rio project aims at presenting Brazilian music to music audience and enthusiasts in Egypt and the Middle East to expose it more and bring it to light, in addition to indulging in the adventure of rearranging some songs and world famous music pieces in Bossa Nova and Samba genre.
